I would just like to say that last year I made a very unconvincing argument that robes would be making their way into outerwear and not just by stylish thrifters... but into stores:
Flashback
"I was shopping the other day with my friend Carolina and mentioned that I saw this gorgeous, silk, Kimono robe that I wanted to wear with a chunky black studded belt and my new Jeffrey Cambell shoes. She told me to show her what I was talking about and maybe she could wear something similar out that night. So I took her to the store where I spotted the little number and her face looked mortified... I still have faith as robes as outfits."
Apparently, Hugh Hefner had the right idea.
